In a goodwill message to the Muslim Ummah, he congratulated them on the successful complection of the Ramadan fast and also admonished them to sustain the blessings of the holy month by persisting in supplication for the state even beyond the period of the obligation.

He charged adherents of the two major religions; Islam and Christianity, to continue in prayers for sustainable peace and development of the state and the country at large; stressing that corporate prayer was needed in the present circumstances.

Abdulmalik also noted that peace was key in any meaningful development and advised the people to give peace its priority of place for the actualization of good governance which the Yahaya Bello-led administration is focused at delivering to them.

He called on the people to support the ongoing reforms in the State, explaining that the blessings to come would endure, and be of great benefit even to posterity.

While wishing the Muslim Ummah a happy Eid-al-Fitri celebration and blessings to the people of the land, the Director General enjoined them to comport themselves in a lawful manner before, during and after the occassion as they share out of their substances with neighbours and the less privileged in the society.

He prayed that the people’s prayers be answered and that they remained in God’s favour, protection and prosperity and the entire state in progress and harmony.
