100 days in office; Ajaokuta Reps member, Abdulraheem, receives needs assessment report, assures of adequate representation

—– Reflects on his modest achievements as lawmaker in 100 days.

The Member Representing Ajaokuta Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Hon. Sanni Egidi Abdulraheem has assured his constituents that he will continue to work for better living condition for all, irrespective of political or religious belief.

Hon. Abdulraheem stated this in a well attended gathering on Saturday, to received the report of the needs assessment committee set up by him, to articulate the critical needs of his diverse communities and as well brief them on the journey so far within his 100 days in office as a federal legislator.

He commended the state Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, for his giant stride in the development of the state, saying for a continuity in the provision of the need dividends of democracy to the people, there is the need for the people to support the candidate of the APC, Alhaji Odoso Ahmed Usman come November 11, 2023 governorship election.

The lawmaker also lauded the efforts of the APC chairman in the state, Alhaji Abdullahi Bello, saying his period as the chairman of the party has brought prosperity and cohesion to the party, which is reflected in the victory of the party in all the elections under his watch.

While explaining that he was yet to get any constituency or zonal intervention funds, Hon Abdulraheem noted that he has been able to achieve so much within his 100 days in office with his personal resources, adding that he has been doing it and will continue to do that in response to their genuine needs. ” I assure you that I will Continue to do things differently, I a very positive way.

While reeling out his achievements in the last 100 days, the lawmaker said Ganaja primary/ High tension road which he started before his assumption of office have been complete for the benefit of the people around the area.

He also listed the facilitation of the repair of Ajaokuta – Adogo – Ebiya Federal High Way, the reconstruction of the Adogo old market damaged bridge, cash empowerment for women, youths and students as part of his modest interventions in the last 100 days.

Other achievements according to the lawmaker includes; Intervention in the damaged electrical equipment as a result of thunder, which caused blackout for the Adogo – Achagana Communities.

As part of his legislative functions, he raised a motion of urgent public importance on the floor of the house (lower chamber) on the need for urgent intervention for the completion of the Ajaokuta Steel Company by the Federal Government and another motion on the urgent need for the federal government to intervene in the all important Ganaja – Ajaokuta Federal High Way reconstruction.

He noted that this road is always affected by the yearly flood as it’s a major road which links about six south-east states and to the north.

He added that the electricity bill which was re-facilitated by the 10th National Assembly, has finally been assented to by the president of Nigeria, Senator Bola Amed Tinubu, which he said has provided for 5% for the host communities from the funds generated by JENCO companies located in the community, which Ajaokuta is a direct beneficiary, saying this will transform the entire community.

He said he has been able to secure federal employment for some citizens of Ajaokuta Local Government, adding that no fewer than fifty persons have benefited from his medical outreach within his hundred days in office.

He assured the needs Assessment committee that their recommendations would be strictly implemented for the good of the people of Federal constituency.

Presenting the committee’s report, the chairman, Engr. Ibrahim Sadiq, a lecturer at the Federal University of Technology, (FUT), Minna, commended the Lawmaker for setting up the need assessment committee, saying it was first of it’s kind in the federal constituency as it will serve as guide in his developmental efforts.

He emphasized that if the recommendations are followed strictly, the lawmaker’s constituency would make progress, urged the people to continue to support the efforts of the lawmaker to enable him advance a better course for the people.

Speaking during the occasion, a Senior Special Assistant to kogi state Governor, Sandra Musa, noted the emergence of Hon. Sanni Egidi Abdulraheem as the House of Representative member for Ajaokuta Federal Constituency has made the party APC more popular in the Federal Constituency.

According to her, Hon. Sanni Egidi has welcomed more than 80% of PDP members, all of NNPP members and SDP members into APC as a party, making APC the only party to be reckoned with in the Local Government.

“Under the leadership of Hon Sanni Egidi as the number one citizen of the Federal Constituency and Local Government of Ajaokuta. Hon. Prince Haruna Ganaja decamped into APC along with his members. He has been able to secure transformer for a community within Ganaja environment. He has been able to start a Primary Health Care Center to serve even the neighboring communities. The prototype is currently under construction.

“Ajaokuta Federal Constituency is truly enjoying leadership at its best under the House of Representative Member, this has earned him the name SHUGABAN AJAOKUTA. He is the engine room of Ajaokuta politics, this recommendation was from the number one party man of the state, Hon. Abdullahi Bello AKA Dollar, who is the APC party chairman of the state. These and more testimonies within 100 days in office stands to prove that Hon. Sanni Egidi is the best man for the job she said
