Lokoja Assembly Aspirant Donates N100,000 to Fire Victim in Kabawa

A philanthropist and aspirant for the Lokoja I State Constituency seat, Hon. Adam Bala Justice, has donated the sum of N100,000 to a fire victim in Kabawa area of Lokoja, Kogi State.
The beneficiary, Mallam Ibrahim Ndagi, lost his three-bedroom apartment and household belongings when fire gutted his residence two days ago. The inferno destroyed food items, furniture, clothing, and other valuables.
Aspirant Sympathises with Victim
Hon. Bala, who visited the scene on Thursday evening, was accompanied by key stakeholders from the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Kabawa community.
He described the incident as unfortunate, urging the victim to remain steadfast and hopeful. The lawmaker hopeful said the cash donation was to assist the family in addressing their immediate needs and to ease the burden caused by the disaster.
Officials Accompany Delegation
Among those on the entourage were the Secretary of Lokoja Local Government Area, Hon. Abubakar Danjuma Kwankwasiya; the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Women and Youth Mobilisation, Hajiya Fatima Marka Abbas; APC Ward Leader, Hon. Baba Kamata; and the Councillor representing Ward E, Hon. Aisha Amale.
In their separate remarks, Hon. Danjuma and Hon. Aisha Amale assured the affected family of government’s concern and promised to attract further support from relevant agencies.
Community Commends Gesture
The delegation also carried out an on-the-spot assessment of the damaged property and offered prayers for the family.
Residents and community leaders in Kabawa have since commended Hon. Bala for what they described as a timely and compassionate gesture that reflects true leadership and empathy.
