2023 Guber : Kogi Youth Ambassadors Demands Governorship Rotation To Kogi West.

The Kogi Youth Ambassadors has called on kogi state government and political parties to support the rotation of governorship to the Western Senatorial District in Kogi.
The group Coordinator, Abdulsalam Ozianda made the call in a press conference organised at the NUJ press centre, Lokoja. He said the aimed and objectives of the group is to mobilize the understanding and support of the people of the state for the rotation of governorship to the Western Senatorial District.
Comrade Ozianda said as formidable group which cut accross the 236 wards in the state, decried the level of injustice meted to the people of Kogi West Senatorial District, noting that kogi state being a multi-ethnic environment should should put other tribes into consideration, and allow power to shift to the tribe that has not rule the state since creation of kogi 1991.
Comrade Ozianda added that the group has adopted some measures to meet stakeholders of political parties and kogi state government to plead with them to consider a competent and qualified person from kogi west.
According to him, ” we do not have anybody in mind, the state government and all political parties should ensure their Governorship candidates are from kogi west and should take the slot” .
“ We have unanimously agreed to canvassed for Rotation of governoship seat to kogi west, and that is the reason why we are here to give our voice to the Agitation for powershift to kogi west’.
‘ Kogi Eastern Senatorial District had its turn for over 16 years while Kogi Central will be completing its 8 years by next year, Its therefore the turn of kogi west,he said.
The state coordinator also noted that in the interest of equity, justice and fairness, power should shift to Kogi West come 2023 .
