2027: ADC, Not Threat To Ruling Party, “No Vacancy In Aso Rock, Lugard House Until 2031” – Dr. Taufiq Isa

The Director General of Kogi State Infrastructural and Utility Management Compliance Agency (KIUMCA) and the Chairman, Special Decamping Committee of All Progressives Congress, APC in Kogi State, Dr. Taufiq Isa says the party is unbothered by the emerging coalition of opposition parties, insisting that President Tinubu and Gov. Ododo would emerge victorious in 2027.
He spoke to Nigerian Trend online newspaper immediately after the decamping ceremony held to received prominent sons and daughters of Yagba Into APC On Monday at Isanlu, Dr. Taufiq maintained that President Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu’s achievements and inclusive leadership quality will neutralised opposition forces in the country.
According to him, “We are happy to have both the President and Governor Ododo in APC. They are people with listening ears, and their government are all-inclusive. Kogi people are happy with Governor Ododo, So, the people have no reason to consider joining any coalition,” Taufiq said.
Dr. Taufiq also comended the leadership style of the former Governor of Kogi state, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, who he said mentored him to be a good leader, he added that he is a very loyal and committed follower of the former Governor.
In his words, “Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello groomed us to always work for the people at the grassroots as political leaders, so, the coalition would have no traction in Nigeria and Kogi state, according to him, governor Ahmed Usman Ododo enjoys widespread popularity and support of the generality of Kogi people”,
He thanked the Governor of Kogi state, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, the immediate past Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello and the Kogi State APC chairman, Alhaji Abdullahi Bello for giving him the opportunity to serve as the chairman of the committee to receive defectors from oppositions party.
“In Kogi state, we are fully prepared. The coalition can’t succeed here in Kogi State, because the governor is doing excellently well, and the people are happy and solidly behind him, There is no vacancy in Lugard House until 2031,” he added.
According to Taufiq who was former ALGON Chairman in Kogi State, also former National Organizing Secretary of ALGON in Nigeria, said the defection of very notable opposition leaders of Okun extraction is a clear testament that the APC in the State and by extension Nigeria is comfortable and had nothing to worry about.
Dr. Taufiq also hinted that more opposition figures in Kogi West, East and Central, including notable personalities in the state would soon defect to the ruling party, APC.
He continued, “We would ensure we collapse ADC just like PDP, because we’ve been in touch with many of them, and in the coming weeks, more opposition leaders will officially join our party.”
He urged APC members and supporters not to be worried by the coalition noise, assuring that the ruling party, APC remains solidly rooted in the state.
“The masses are with us because of the good governance we’re enjoying under Governor Ododo. Those forming a coalition are wasting their time, they lack the capacity to defeat the APC in 2027.”
“You can see, by virtue of the caliber of those who defected to the APC. They include Hon. Sam Aro, a former House of Representatives Member, Yagba Federal constituency, Abdulganiyu Salawudeen, popularly known as ‘Erukutu Yagba’, Commodore Daniel Folorusho (rtd), the minority leader of Kogi state House of Assembly, Hon Ibikunle Idowu aka ‘Kuli’ and other political leaders from Yagba, along with Thousands of their supporters”.
Similarly, the youth leaders of Ijumu Oke and Gbede respectively, Hon. Idowu and Hon. Gbenga have applauded the leadership styles of the DG, KIUMCA, and Special Defection Committee, Dr. Taufiq Isa, saying the entire Youths of Ijumu local Government Are are satisfied with the sterling qualities and leadership acumen of Alhaji Taufiq Isa.
“They applauded the leadership styles, courage, determination and generosity of Chief Taufiq Isa,” saying with him in the forefront of APC in Okunland, President Tinubu and Gov. Ododo’s 2nd term bid remains unshakable come 2027.
They therefore called on the entire youths of Okun speaking area to rally round Dr. Taufiq Isa to enable him succeed in his new assignment as the Chairman, Special Defection Committee in the state.
