Muhammadu Buhari Civic Centre, Gov. Yahaya Bello’s modest Achievement In Kogi

Muhammadu Buhari civic Centre was one of the magnificent structure put in place by His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, it is situated in the state headquarters, Lokoja.

A senior civil servants in kogi state, Mr. Mathew Okpanachi however commended the state governor, saying that the civic Centre Complex built by the governor is a world-class multifunctional event centre serving as a one-stop center for general events, entertainment and general recreation. It meets the requirements of international standards”.
Adding that the centre represents the developmental efforts of the Governor in the state, he was able to use his deep knowledge using his global network to engaged qualified contractors who are technical experts.
According to him, “this is a gigantic project that explores the relationship between city, nature, and people, the center is a new place of attraction for children, adults, and seniors, sitting on the city.
“The project is a hub of contemporary creativity, civic unity and visually symbolic composition of architectural forms,” In short, Muhammadu Buhari civic Centre “is an expression of urban pride, chromatic joy, and architectural complexity” which has world class symbolism but still remains a beacon to its Lokoja vicinity”.
A Reknown trader in Lokoja, the state headquarters of Kogi State, Mallam Idris Yakubu also applauded Gov. Bello’s developmental strides, saying that he has provided major projects that will stands the test of time.
He mentioned projects like the Ganaja flyover bridge, GYB model science secondary school, Referral modern hospital, Okene, College of Science and Technology, CUSTECH, Muhammadu Buhari civic Centre, Lokoja and several other projects in the state.
Yakubu further said one of the remarkable and appreciable was the massive and expansive Muhammadu Buhari Civic Centre, an edifice built by the pragmatic Governor which he named after the President.
When Nigerian Trend Newspaper visited the civic Centre recently, we really funds out that the Civic Centre is surely a modern world class event centre.
“The civic Centre is located in the heart of Lokoja and has 15,000 capacity for regular sitters, 600 for VIP section. The entire standing space is about 10,000 square meters which means about 15000 people can stand in that center without overcrowding. It also has a large-format LED display screen, a very spacious and beautiful car park, convenience rooms, dressing rooms, a close circuit camera for security purposes, and floodlights to enhance illumination at night.
