6,549 Students Matriculated by Kogi Poly for 2024/2025 Session

The Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja on Saturday, officially ushered in 6,549 fresh students during the 2024/2025 academic session matriculation ceremony that took place within the polytechnic campus.
The ceremony, presided over by the Rector, Proffessor Salisu Ogbo Usman saw the convergence of dignitaries, faculty, staff, and students to formally welcome the new students into the institution’s academic fold.
With the resplendent atmosphere adorned in academic regalia, the event commenced promptly at 10:00 AM, signaling the commencement of the event.
In his address, the Rector, Prof. Salisu Ogbo Usman, welcomed dignitaries, staff, students, and guests to the maiden matriculation ceremony. He expressed gratitude to the Executive Governor of kogi state, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, and the immediate past Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello for their support for their foresight, courage and doggedness that is responsible for the unprecedented, stable and predictable academic calendar, which he said the institutions Accross the state is presently enjoying today.
Prof. Ogbo expressed his profound appreciation to His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo for his fervent commitment and dedication to the sustainable growth and development of the great institution.
Prof. Ogbo while congratulating the matriculating students, advised them to embrace practical skills and integrity. He emphasized the importance of holistic education and character development for success.
“I welcome you to the 32nd Matriculation Ceremony of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja. Indeed, this is the fifth (5th) in the series of the Matriculation ceremony I had the privilege of presiding over since we came on board.
He further outlined kogi state Polythecnic’s commitment to excellence, future academic programs, and supportive structures, he reiterated the institution’s values and called for collaboration to uphold them.
” I wish to use this medium to announce that the verdict of the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) on the Institutional Accreditation, Resource Inspection and Programme accreditation conducted on18th – 20thDecember, 2024, has been communicated to us.
“This goes to show that, at Kogi State Polytechnic, we are living true to the appellation of Kogi State as a“confluence of opportunities” and melting pot of all shades of cultures and traditions”,
“I am pleased to inform you that, out of the twenty seven (27) programmes so presented, we have yet again recorded 100% resounding success”,
“The programmes were granted full accreditation status with effect from the 2024/2025 academic session”.

The ceremony featured moments of solemnity, as the incoming students took the Oath of Matriculation, pledging their commitment to uphold the principles of academic integrity, discipline, and excellence throughout their academic journey.

Embrace the opportunities that come your way and strive for excellence in all your endeavours. As you enter Kogi state Polytechnic, you are entering an institution that carries the weight of immense responsibility and potential for incredible impact on your lives, Once again, congratulations.”
