We Will Continue To Provide More Support To Security Agencies To Fight Crimes – Gov. Ododo

• Presents 16 Refurbished Operational Vehicles To Security Agencies

The Executive Governor of kogi state, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has promised to continue to provide security operational vehicles and funds for the refurbishment of operational vehicles in kogi state.

The Governor who was represented by the Director General, Government House Administration, Alhaji Dr. Umar Oricha Shuabu in Government House on Thursday, said the state government will always make funds available to kogi state security trust funds to fight crimes in kogi.

Gov. Ododo commended the security heads of the Nigeria Police Force and other agencies for their commitment to protecting the lives and property of in kogi state.

He explained that his administration would continue to assist all security operatives, “we are aware of the security challenges in kogi, but be rest assured that we shall win the war against criminals, he said.

Presenting the refurbished vehicles to heads of Nigeria Security, Civil Defence Corp, Vigilantes, Nigeria Correctional centre, Nigeria Immigration Agency and others, the Chairman, Kogi State Security Trust Fund, AVM Omeiza Farouk(rtd), disclosed that the agency will continue to provide logistics support for security agencies in the State.

Omeiza thanked Governor Ododo for the prompt release of funds for the successful operations of the agency.

In his words, ” Security is everybody’s business. I must appreciate God and thank His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo for making funds available to the Kogi State Security Trust fund. If there is no funds, there is nothing we can do. We are doing our constitutional work to provide logistics support for security agencies in the State.

“Today, we are returning back refurbished operational vehicles. “The Governor has given us a matching order to as a matter of urgency repair all security vehicles of all security agencies”.

He warned criminal elements to relocate from Kogi State. *Our State is not a safe place for criminals, criminals will be dealt with saying the present Governor is equally doing his best to secure lives and properties in the State.

In his own remarks, the Chairman, Kogi State House of Assembly Committee on Security Hon. Major Enefola commended the Executive Chairman of KSSF and other management team for their unrelenting efforts and its achievement in the State.

He said, “A desperate situation calls for a desperate action. The people are happy with the management of the Kogi State Security Trust fund. Insecurity will soon be a thing of the past in Kogi State”, he stressed.

At the closing of the ceremony, all the heads of security agencies gave their goodwill messages and were presented with their refurbished vehicles.

Giving the vote of thanks, the Kogi State Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists, (NUJ) Comrade Ademu Seidu also commended the agency for their good work in the State, he thanked all the invited guests and wish them safe trip back to their various destinations.
