Ajaokuta Local Government Applauds Kogi State Government For Taken Education As Top Priority

The Executive Chairman Ajaokuta Local Government Area Hon. Prince Mustapha Aliyu Aka’aba has commended Kogi State Government under the dynamic leadership of Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello for according education top priority in the scheme of things in the State.
In a press statement made available by the , HOD, Education, Ajaokuta LGA, stated that Hon. Mustapha Aka’aba made the commendation in his speech while flagging off the distribution of educational/instructional materials provided by the State Government at the Local Government Secretariat, Adogo.
He said, Kogi State Government has over the years provided educational materials textbooks in all subjects, instructional aids as well as Magic Boards and Chalks among others to the students in both Junior and Senior Secondary School Levels.
Hon. Prince Mustapha Aka’aba reminded the students to put to maximum use, the government effort to improve education and charged the teachers to be examplany in their professional calling.
The council chairman who was represented at the occasion by the secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Ovanebira A. Mamman, assured that his administration will continue to add value to educational progress and development of the area through implementation of educational programmes.
Earlier in his welcome address, the Director and Head of Local Government Administration, Mallam Salihu Musa Eku praised the initiative of the government at the State and Local Level for impacting positively on the educational development of the students.
He appealed to the principals and teachers to check the activities of students under their watch for proper upbringing.
The Ajaokuta Local Government DLG hailed the noble role the Kogi State Ministry for Local Government and Cheiftancy Affairs has been playing to improve standard in Local Government Administration.
He commended the permanent secretary of the ministry Hajia Habibat Oyiza Tijjani for using her good office to provide veritable programmes for local government Councils in the State, one of which we are witnessing today.
Mallam Salihu Musa Eku then advised the students to be proactive with good character as future leaders.
In his speech, the Kogi State Team Leader to the Educational Material Flag-off ceremony, Hon. Sanusi Mamman charged students to brace up as future leaders through acquisition of requisite qualitative Education which the State Government and Ministry of local government chieftaincy affairs having been providing to better their lots in academic training.
He warned the students to shun all negative tendencies their retard their progress in education especially cultism, drug addiction and truancy.
Hon. Sanusi Mamman reminded the students to emulate those in position in authority which were catapulted thereby their acquisition of quality Education and praised Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello for providing the educational materials.
In his vote of thanks, The Head of Department, Education and Social Service, Mallam Obeito Shaibu Hassan thanked the state and local governments for the provision of education materials for the schools in the area.
He appealed to the School Administrators and teachers to ensure that the Educational Materials are used for the purpose intended.
