APC Lokoja Flags Off LG Election Campaign As Hon. Abdullahi Adamu Pledges Inclusive, Open Door Governance

The All Progressives Congress APC in Lokoja local government area has flagged off its Chairmanship Campaign, as the party Chairmanship candidate, Hon. Abdullahi Adamu promised an all inclusive, open door, people-oriented governance, if elected.

The flagg-off was held at Up-Garage, Old market road, Lokoja, Kogi state on Wednesday

Hon. Adamu, who expressed his appreciation to the party leaders and supporters for their support to emerge as the party candidate during the primaries, pledged a new dawn for Lokoja Local Government administration.
According to him, “I want to assure every stakeholders in the council be it the youths, women, traders, artisans, businessmen and women of a purposeful and an inclusive governance that will benefit us all.
“In line with our state leader, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s vision for a transformed, developed Kogi state, we will run an open door administration to bring about a new dawn for our council.
“This is a duty we cannot do alone that’s why we are soliciting for your votes during the election to give us the mandate and collectively we can transform and develop our council,” he said.
The party Chairmanship candidate also promised to prioritise security, education, agriculture, health and human capital development, etc.
He thanked His Excellency, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for been able to address the problem of percentage payment of salary of local government workers in the state, saying that the workers are now smiling home with full payment of salaries before the end of every month.
The chairman of Lokoja-Kogi(kk) Stakeholders Forum, Hon. Suleman Baba Ali in his remarks, urged supporters of the party to spread their tentacles to all nooks and crannies of the Lokoja to canvass for votes to ensure the overwhelming victory of APC in the forthcoming local government elections
Baba Ali, who was former Commissioner for Health in kogi state, alongside the party chairman, Maikudi Bature presented and handed over the party’s flag to Hon. Abdullahii Adamu and councillors as the party’s flag bearers in October , 19 local election in respect of Lokoja Local Government Area.
The Honourable Speaker of kogi state House of Assembly, RT. Hon. Aliyu Umar Yusuf called on the people to vote for the APC to compliment the the good leadership provided by the Governor, adding that Gov. Ododo was able to solve the problems of percentage payment of salaries at local government councils.
” The governor is now paying 100 percent salaries to local govt workers, pensioners and teacher, so, we must continue to show appreciation by a way of voting enmass for his party”, he stressed.
He therefore urged the party supporters, especially women and youth to come out en mass and vote for APC during the coming election.
The event witnessed the presence of the APC Stakeholders like the former speaker, Hon. Abdulraman Dangana, the party chairman, Hon. Maikudi Bature, Former House of Representative, Haruna Isa, and Former Chairmen of Lokoja local government, Hon. Mabo kassim and Hon. Shiru Lawal.
The events also attracted party leaders and supporters across the ten wards of the council.
