CHIEF M. Y. OBARO COMMISSIONS WATER PROJECT IN OGAMINANA COMMUNITY

A political icon and philanthropist, Chief Momoh Yusuf Obaro has commissioned a motorized borehole he donated to Ogaminana community.
In a press statement issued by Obeito S. H, stated that Chief Obaro said water was a necessity in life and decided to drill the borehole to reduce the water problem in Ogaminana town.
He went down memory lane on how means of getting water was a serious problem during his childhood age of going as far as Ahucheba at Oniyeka in search of water as early as 5:00am.
Chief Obaro then directed the community leaders to handle the borehole for maximum use and protect the project from vandalization.
He charged the community leaders to set up committee to oversee the project and to make the usage of the borehole available to all and not a section of the community and avoidance of unnecessary quarrel in fetching water from the borehole.
Chief Obaro who handed over the 4 taps keys to the Chairman of Ogaminana CCDA, Mall. Isah F. Ahmed, directed that the borehole should serve the purpose for which it was meant.
Earlier, in his welcome speech, the chairman of Ogaminana CCDA, Mall. Isah F. Ahmed, appreciated Chief Obaro for the gesture and assured him that the community will be above board in the operation of the borehole.
He called for prayers for Chief Obaro to enable him continue his humanitarian and philanthropic services to uplift society and mankind.
In a remark, the chairman of Idatochi/Idanupopuvete CCDA, Mr. Salami M. Ezekiel commended Chief Obaro for impacting positively on the society.
He praised the ingenuity of Chief Obaro for providing hardcore and laterite to fill the bad sections of Inorere-Idatochi – Utokuha Utohu road.
As Oliver Twist, Mr. Salami M. Ezekiel appealed to Chief Obaro to kindly assist the community with more laterite to fill the sections already with hardcore to make the road motorable.
Chief Obaro later inspected the work done on the road where the community lauded his effort and appealed for more support on the road.
In their goodwill messages, Hon. Al-Sulyiman Onokus, Hajia Bose Raji and Mrs. Ovayengwu Oricha all thanked God and praised Chief Obaro for giving back to the community where he started his life as a child.
Messrs.’ Bose Raji and Mrs. Ovayengwu Oricha appealed to Chief Obaro to consider women in empowerment to cushion the effects of economic hardship at the moment.
In a release written and signed by Mallam Obeito S. Hassan and made available to newsmen in Lokoja, showed that prayers were offered by the chief Imam of Adavi, Ogaminana Alh. Muhammed Nasiru Yusuf and wardhead of ogaminana, Mall. Salihu Anaha who prayed to God to guide and protect Chief Obaro in all his undertakings and urged him to sustain.
Performing the vote of thanks, Mall. Ahmed Tijani Ahmed, described Chief Obaro as wonderful person for the donation of borehole to Ogaminana community and wished him well in his selfless services for societal progress and development.
He assured the donor that he will not be disappointed in the usage of the project.
The project which was powered by the Foundation for the Prevention of Rural and Urban Drift has its commission ceremony attended by sons and daughters of Ogaminana community, Chief Imam of Adavi, Ogaminana communities leaders, wardheads, women groups as well as youths among others.
