Comrade Abdullahi Adamu Receives Kogi State Assembly Members To His Office

According to the statement issued by SSA to the Executive Chairman, (Media and Publicity), Iliyasu Zakari said that the Chairman of the Committee, Hon. Bobby Ujah stated that the visit was part of the Assembly’s oversight function. He noted that it is part of the statutory functions of the State Assembly to make such visit to ensure that there is checks and balances.
The Lokoja Local Government Chairman Comrade Abdullahi Adamu today received members of the Kogi State House of Assembly Committee on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.
While thanking the Honorable members for the timely visit, Comrade Adamu in his address highlighted his efforts since he assumed office. He used the opportunity to appreciate the Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo and the speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Aliyu Umar Yusuf for providing quality leadership.
After the interaction, the Lokoja Local Government Chairman, Comrade Abdullahi Adamu led the Committee to pay a visit to the Maigari of Lokoja, HRH Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Kabir Maikarfi IV.
The Maigari of Lokoja and Chairman of the Lokoja Local Government Traditional Council appreciated the visit and assures the team of the continuous support and prayers of the traditional institutions.
Other members of the team include Hon. Bin Bin-Ebaiya Shehu Tijjani, Hon. Idrees Aliyu Maikudi, Hon. Jibril Abu II among others.
