Court Affirms Alh Saidu Akawu Salihu As Ohimegye Igu Kingdom
… Dismissed suit for lacking in competence.

A High Court sitting in Lokoja has dismissed the suit seeking to challenge the emergence of HRM, Alhaji Saidu Akawu Salihu as the Ohimegye Igu Kingdom.
The Court dismissed the suit for lacking in merit and competence, said the emergence of Alhaji Saidu Akawu Salihu followed due process.
Recalled that the deposed Ohimegye, Alhaji Abdulrazaq Isah Koto had instituted a case seeking to remove Alh Saidu Akawu Salihu.
The Ohimegye Igu Kingdom, HRM, Alhaji Saidu Akawu Salihu, in a swift reaction to the judgment described the High Court ruling affirming his emergence as the Ohimegye Igu Kingdom as a “No Victor No vanquish judgement”.
The traditional Ruler while reacting to the judgment said the people of the Kingdom “should all come together for the overall development of our people and kingdom.
He urged for calm, pointing out that no meaningful development can be attained when the people don’t work in unison, described the judgement as for the people of the Kingdom.
