Court Grants Bail To Former Gov. Of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello
By Abubakar Suleman

The immediate past Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Adoza Bello has regained his freedom after about two weeks in detention over corruption allegations.
His release from the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is based on a ruling at the Federal Capital Territory High Court in Abuja granting him bail.
Nigerian Trend Online newspaper gathered that Yahaya Bello submitted himself to the EFCC and was taken to the court in Abuja.
Although the Nigerian constitution limits the detention period of a suspect to a maximum of 48 hours, law enforcement agencies are often permitted to extend the detention period with the permission of a court of law.
Confirming the release of the former governor said Yahaya Bello went home on Friday and now free from detention.
