CUSTHEC Attack: Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo Visits CUSTHEC, Osara For On The Spot Assessment, Promise To Secure Return Of Kidnapped Students

Kogi state Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has visited College of Science and Technology, Osara (CUSTECH), vowed to secure safe return of kidnapped students of the university.
The Governor paid visit to the institution immediately the incident occurred on Friday.
Visibly disturbed by the security breach at the Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), Osara, Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has charged the locals of the area and beyond to complement government’s efforts by volunteering credible information that could speed up and assist security agencies in their efforts to rescue the abducted students of the university.
Governor Ododo made the remark today at the university during an on-the-spot visit alongside some executive members of his cabinet to get firsthand information of the incident.
The Governor Ododo who queried why the CCTV monitors were not operational at the time of the attack, hinged it on internal saboteurs.
His remarks: “We cannot rule out internal sabotage in this operation because the school is fully equipped with CCTV cameras, how come they could not capture the attack when it happened?”
According to him, the preliminary reports gathered suspect internal sabotage due to the disconnection of the CCTV cameras within the premises shortly before the attack took place.
The Governor who called for calm as the government works hard in collaboration with security operatives in the state to ensure the safe return of the students, added that no stone would be left unturned to ensure the students are rescued.
While assuring that the security operatives were working round-the-clock to rescue the students, he noted that the government would review security operations within and around the institution to avoid a reoccurrence.
The Governor, who assured that the wrath of the law would definitely fall on the perpetrators of the ugly incident, reiterated that no effort would be left unexplored in the quest to free the victims.
