Dep. National chairman, North Central, Sen. Ogbeha Endorse ADC Chairmanship Candidate, Councillorship In Lokoja-Kogi LGAs

The chairmanship Vice Chairmanship and Councilorship candidates for the forthcoming Lokoja local government election in Kogi State were today presented to the African Democratic Congress (ADC), to the apex leader who double as the Deputy National chairman North Central Distinguish Senator Dr. Tunde Ogbeha at his GRA resident today 16th January 2026.
In his speech Hon. Yabagi Danlami Bologi, who is a former chairman Lokoja Local Government, former special adviser and also former commissioner under former administration in Kogi State comment the leadership role played by the apex leader Distinguish Senator Tunde Ogbeha, that have believe in them and bestowed them with the responsibility of scouting for a credible and committed candidates for the Chairmanship and Councilorship seat for the forthcoming Lokoja Local Government election in Kogi State which they’ve deliver and today they are presenting the candidates to the apex leader.
In his remark, the Deputy National Chairman of African Democratic Congress (ADC), North Central Distinguish Dr. Tunde Ogbeha, has said the party will fully participate in the forthcoming local government elections in the state, declaring that the ADC is repositioned and ready to reclaim political dominance.
Ogbeha stated this while briefing the supporters and the stakeholders after receiving the candidates in Lokoja.
He said the party resolved that the ADC, as the major opposition party in Kogi State today and Nigeria at large, would contest the local government elections with full strength, stressing that the party is well rooted in all parts of the state.
“By the grace of God, ADC today is not as weak as people assume. We have hit the ground running, and under our leadership, the ADC will take over Kogi State,” he said.
On security, Ogbeha expressed deep concern over the rising insecurity in parts of the state, particularly in Okunland, calling on the federal, state and local governments, as well as relevant security agencies, to intensify efforts to protect lives and property.
“We desire to sleep with our two eyes closed. People can no longer go to their farms or markets freely. Enough is enough,” he said, adding that insecurity affects everyone irrespective of political affiliation.
He disclosed that the ADC had resolved to collaborate with relevant stakeholders to address security challenges, noting that Kogi State was once among the most peaceful states in the country and must return to that status.
“You cannot be a tenant where you have your own house. ADC is now your new home. Come back and take your rightful place,” he said.
Those in attendance during the presentation are former SSG Hon. Musa Ahmadu, Hon. Shehu Idris, Hon. Abdulrahman Mohammed aka Balga other senior party figures including Hon. Danladi Bababudon, Hon. Ashorun, Hon. Alhaji Gimba Mohammed, Hon. Mahmoud Isiaka and several other stakeholders from both Lokoja 1&2.
