Dignitaries Attend 8th Day Fidau Prayers Of Maigari’s Step-mother

Lokoja, practically, stood still on Sunday, as eminent Nigerians, Islamic Scholars, politicians from various political parties, market women and men, well wishers, among others, thronged the Maigari’s Palace, venue of the 8th Day Fidau prayers for the repose of late Hajiya Safahu Muhahammadu Kabir, step- mother of the present Maigari of Lokoja, Alhaji Ibrahim Kabir Maikarfi IV.

Hajiya Safahu, who is the wife of late Maigari of Lokoja, Alhaji Dr. Muhammodu Kabir Maikarfi 111, died after a brief illness in Abuja and was buried in Lokoja.

Various Muslim clerics who was led by the chief Imam of central mosque, lokoja, Sheikh Aminu Shaban offered prayers and gave sermons at the well attended event, preached on the need for men and women to make humility their watch word even as they urged Nigerian leaders and all those in positions of authority as well as everyone still alive to emulate the life of service to humanity as exemplified by the late Safahu.
The eminent Nigerians, led by the Speaker Kogi State House of Assembly, RT. Hon. Aliyu Umar Yusuf, include: the Rogan of Eggan, Alhaji Alhassan Muhammed Umoru, Chiefs and Obas, Lokoja Transition Chairman, Hon. Abdullahi Adamu, Member representing Lokoja 1 state constituency, Hon. Shehu Tijjani Ebaiya, top government officials, traditional title holders, Islamic Clerics, members of Danko Development Forum, Lokoja, members of Lokoja Forum of Patriots and traders, among numerous others
