Dignitaries Attend Bukky’s Son Naming Ceremony In Lokoja

– Chief Imam tasks parents on proper upbringing of children

The Chief Imam of Lokoja, Sheikh Aminu Muhammad Shaban, has called on parents to ensure proper upbringing of their children.

He made the call on monday, at the naming ceremony of the son of Hon. Mohammed Ibukun Abubakar-Ola, aka ‘Bukky’, the Senatorial candidate of NNPP in kogi west senatorial district of Kogi State.

Chief Imam said that children were special gifts from God and should be brought up in a Godly manner as such children would contribute positively to the development of the society.

He prayed for God’s protection, blessings and good health for the new born baby and the entire family.

Also speaking, Mallam Zakari Abubakar-Ola congratulated his brother saying the arrival of a new baby was a blessing from God. He prayed that God should give him the wisdom and strength to train the child.

Responding, Hon. Bukky appreciated all the guests at the occasion, prayed for journey mercy for all the dignitaries and other well-wishers to their various destinations.

Earlier, Sheikh Aminu Muhammad Shaban, the Chief Imam of Lokoja, the Chief Imam of Lokoja, who presided over the naming prayers, urged parents to ensure proper training of their children in a Godly way.

He equally prayed for leaders and for the unity, peace, progress and development of the state and Nigeria.

The dignitaries that attended the naming ceremony included Hon. Mohammed Mabo kassim, the former Chairman of Lokoja local government area and Hon. Isa Umar, former Member of the State Assembly.

Others were Alhaji Audu Bello Oke, the paramount Chief of Yoruba in kogi state, politicians, party leaders, among other well-wishers.
