Dr. Ayodele Kolade Buries Mum, Late Mrs Ruth Christiana Kolade In Grand Style
- Dr. Ayodele Appreciated All Those Who Came To Support Him During The Period, Prays For God’s Blessings.

The ancient town of Mopa, Mopa-Amuro local government area of Kogi State came alive, at the weekend, as several dignitaries stormed Dr. Ayodele Kolade country home, pulled all the stops to bid his late mother, Mrs Ruth Christiana Kolade, a well-deserved farewell.
It was the gathering of who is who in kogi state when the Director, Account of Science Technical Education, Teaching Service Commission, STETCOM, Dr. Ayodele Kolade buries mother, Late Mrs Ruth Christiana Kolade in a grand style funeral ceremony at First ECWA Church,Odole,Mopa in Kogi State.
The service climaxed with a prayer for the family of the late deceased. Thereafter, Guests were treated to a splendid reception at the Mopa town Hall, where the best of continental and local dishes as well as the best of beverages were served.
With eminent kogites, friends and well-wishers, Dr. AY, as he is fondly called, ensured that the late mother remain a much talked-about event for a long time to come.
His mother who died on 5th June 2024 and buried on 28th September, 2024 has been his confidant and mentor right from the ontset.
Speaking after the ceremony, Dr. Ayodele Kolade appreciated all those who came to support him during the period, praying for God’s blessings.
He appreciated everyone that turned up to honour him, Brother and sisters. He also extended his appreciation to kogi state government and top management and staff of STETCOM and other dignitaries that graced the occassion.
The 2-day ceremony started on Friday September 28, 2022, with wake-Keep, a Service of Songs at the Kolade family home of the deceased..
The high point of the event was the burial proper, which took place on Saturday September, 29th 2024 and ended with a funeral service at the First ECWA Church, Mopa.
Late Mama, Mrs Ruth Christiana Kolade is survived with healthy children, they are; Pharmacist Gbenga, Remilekun, Dr. Ayodele, Shade and Seyi Kolade.
Christian musical band was on hand to entertain the guests as they serenaded all and sundry with melodious tunes.
In attendance were Former Head of Service, Dr. Moses Atakpa, the Chairman, STETCOM, Comrade Paul Audu, Officials from Accountant-General’s office, Lokoja and many others.
At the ceremony, The Internal Auditor,, Mallam Kabiru Mayaki.of STETCOM led staff to attend the colourful event in Mopa-Amuro local government area. Politicians, public servants, businessmen, traditional leaders, among other dignitaries, graced the grand burial ceremony.
