Engr. MD Faruk Makes History, Bags ‘Gaabi Sayadi Of Eggan’ Traditional Title

The former Director of Administration, Lokoja Local Government Area, Engr. Mohammed Danladi Yahaya Faruk has paid Thank-You visit to the palace of Rogan of Eggan for the chieftaincy title of “Gaabi Sayadi of Eggan” bestowed on him.
His Royal Highness, Alhaji Mohammed Alhassan, Rogan of Eggan conferred the traditional title of ‘Gaabi Sayadi of Eggan’ on the immediate-past Director, Administration, Lokoja local government area.
The stakeholders and district heads of Engr. Faruk’s community in Lokoja gathered at the palace of Rogan of Eggan on Saturday at karaworo, lokoja to show appreciation and thanked him for the Chieftaincy title given to their son.
The chief Imam of Central Mosque, Lokoja, Shiek Aminu Shaban and other Islamic clerics prayed for the mornach, and thank him on behalf of the community, saying the title given to Engr. Faruk by Rogan of Eggan is highly appreciated by his community.
In his own remarks, Rogan of Eggan, HRH, Alhaji Mohammed Alhassan said “he decided to conferred the Chieftaincy title on Engr. Faruk because of his good track records while in office as Director of Local Government Administration.
HRH, Alhaji Alhassan said that with the title bestowed on Engr. Faruk as Gaabi Sayadi of Eggan, Engr. Faruk has become both a friend and a son to Eggan people charging him never to forget his people at any given time.”
In his own remarks, the district head of Ward D, Alhaji Isah Ahmadu Nasidi thanked the mornach for considering their son for such important Chieftaincy title, noting that it is an indication that the Rogan of Eggan and his people loved Engr. Faruk so much.
The former Speaker of the Kogi state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Umar Imam who gave vote of thanks appreciate Rogan of Eggan for conferring the Chieftaincy title on his brother, Engr. MD Faruk, noting that the entire Ward D stakeholders were happy with him.
While speaking to newsmen, Engr. M.D Faruk said: “I am pleased to announce that, His Royal Highness, Rogan of Eggan honoured me with the title of Gaabi for my contributions to the progress and development of Lokoja local government area, I am very grateful to His Royal Highness for the recognition and also thank all those who have accompanied me to show appreciation to the mornach”.
” I wish His royal Highness good health, long life, fruitful and peaceful reign to continue to lead our people on the path of greatness”,he said.
” This honour is very unique and I am very happy. It is a challenge for me to do more for my community. I pray that peace will continue to reign in this community”.
“This honour will surely complement who I am. I am very delighted for this honour done to me by the traditional ruler Rogan of Eggan”, he stressed.
