Hon. Muktar Atimah, All Progressives Congress Chieftain in Kogi State has sent a Congratulations message to Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo on his victory at the Federal High Court which affirmed him as the Kogi All Progressives Congress Governorship Candidate for the November Election.

Atimah in a statement issued to Newsmen in Lokoja, described the Court victory as well deserved, for democracy, and an affirmation of the Kogi People’s Desires for Consolidation, said the judgment has put to rest the lies of a few.

Atimah described the Federal High Court Verdict as the voice of the people, desclosed that the November polls would be won clean and clear, pointing out that the verdict is the wishes and aspirations of Kogi people.

Hon. Atimah described Kogi State following the outstanding achievements of Gov Yahaya Bello as safe for the APC in the November polls, urged Kogites to join hands towards building a virile Kogi State under the leadership of Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo.

Atimah was upbeat, optimistic about a hundred percent victory that is assured for the APC, said from all indication, going by the massive defection that has left the PDP empty with only the Governorship Candidate, a landslide victory is assured for Ododo.

Atimah further desclosed that the margin of win for the APC Flagbearer in the Governorship election would be unprecedented in history of Governorship election ever held in the State, urged the other political parties like the SDP to accept defeat and stop unfounded media and unsubstantiated attacks on Gov. Yahaya Bello.

Atimah described the SDP as a figment of the imagination of a few people who are bent on creating ethnic rivalries in the State, described the APC Flagbearer as a symbol of Kogi unity, irrespective of tribe and religion.

Atimah described the SDP as made up of a few members who see politics from the angle of sense of entitlement, cautioned against the use of inflammatory comments in the media by the media handlers of the Party, describing the attacks and misinformation against the State Governor as unfortunate.

Atimah expressed implicit confidence in the capacity and competence of Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo to build on the achievements of Gov Yahaya Bello, described the APC Flagbearer as what Kogi State needs moving forward after Gov. Bello’s administration in 2024.

According to Atimah, Gov. Bello has successfully laid the solid foundation for the development of Kogi State, described his administration’s achievements as unrivaled in the state’s history.

Recalled that a Federal Court sitting in Abuja yesterday dismissed a suit filed by an aspirant in the All Progressives Congress’ governorship primaries in Kogi State, Senator Smart Adeyemi, against the emergence of the candidate of the party, Usman Ododo, saying it lacks merit.

Delivering judgement in the suit marked “FHC/CS/556/2023 Smart Adeyemi v. APC & 2 Ors”, on Wednesday, Justice J.K. Omotosho held that Adeyemi’s allegations were criminal in nature, as he alleged that elections did not hold and that the produced results were forged.
