Gov. Bello Presents Staff Of Office To Maigari Of Lokoja, HRH, Alhaji Ibrahim Kabir, Markarfi IV

Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello of kogi State has commended the indigenes of Lokoja local government for the peaceful conduct displayed during the selection process of the new Maigari of lokoja.
The governor said this on friday in Government House at the occasion of official presentation of instrument of appointment and staff of office to Maigari of Lokoja, HRH, Alhaji Ibrahim Kabir, Markarfi 1V and Maiyaki of Kupa.
He therefore commended the people of Lokoja for their peaceful conduct during the selection process for the new monarch. He praised the kingmakers for their diligence and integrity.
The governor urged the newly installed traditional ruler to exhibit high level of integrity in the discharge of his responsibility and should focus his attention on his area of jurisdiction in the town, urging the new traditional ruler to be an apostle of peace and carry along all his people both home and abroad in his day-to-day administration.
Gov. Bello urged the newly installed Maigari of Lokoja, HRH, Alhaji Ibrahim Kabir, Markarfi IV to use his office to foster unity among his people.
He also advised the people of the lokoja town to embrace peace and support the new traditional ruler so that his tenure would witness unprecedented achievements.
Responding, the newly installed Maigari of Lokoja, HRM, Alhaji Ibrahim Kabir Markarfi IV appreciated the governor for his fatherly and leadership role displayed in the selection of the stool.
“Permit me to mention that this position is an assignment, like any other leadership role, and it’s a call to selfless service.
“Having accepted my unanimous selection to assume the throne of my forefathers and lead the good people of Lokoja local government area as the Maigari of Lokoja, I promise, by Allah’s grace, not to disappoint my people,” he said.
