Governor Yahaya Bello In Triumphant Entry Into Lokoja, Kogi State

Lokoja, the capital city of kogi state stood on its toes today as a triumphant Governor Yahaya Bello rode through the streets of Lokoja in his first entry after his rumoured illness spread across the state.

The Party big wigs, Ododo Support groups, youth and women organizations all came out to welcome the governor from Abuja.

Governor Bello who hitherto had been in Abuja to attend some urgent meetings decided to return back to office in Government House, Lokoja.

Many supporters gathered in koton-karfe town along Abuja road to welcome the second term governor where he came out from his bullet proof Jeep to have handshakes with the stakeholders and party faithfuls.

While addressing thousands of supporters, Governor Bello said before the end of his tenure in January, 2024, he will continue on developing a solid economic foundation for the state and also continue with his educational policies. He said health will also receive more renewed attention as much as he will see that the rural areas were more accessible to modern infrastructural facilities.

He called on all well meaning Kogians, stakeholders and party members to give the governorship candidate of All Progressives Congress, APC, Ahmed Usman Ododo the needed support and cooperation in the forthcoming gubernatorial election.

After addressing his people, Governor Bello rode in a long convoy of vehicles to Government House, Lokoja where a large group of people where also waiting to receive him.

The state party chairman of APC, Abdullahi Bello aka Dollar and his cabinet members led the group of prominent citizens. The elongated convoy then proceeded to the Government House.

The ride from koton-karfe to Lokoja town which should normally have taken less than 30 minutes took almost two hours as jubilating crowds lined the road to catch a sight of the Governor.

He had to stop at many points as the joyous people insisted on touching their governor. Eventually, when the Governor arrived at Government House, it was turned into a carnival and there was hardly anytime for speeches. The Governor only had time to thank the people of the state for the massive support they gave to him and asked them to vote for the APC during the state Governorship election come November 11.
