Hon. Bala Justice Rounded up Free Holiday Coaching for students in Lokoja LGA, Presents Award To 3 Best Students

A young reknwon Educationist and philanthropist, Hon. Bala Justice has completed the sponsorship of a six weeks free holiday coaching for students in Lokoja local government Area, presented awards to three best students.
This colourful ceremony took place at Kabawa primary school premises in Lokoja on Sunday, featuring the hakimi’s from different wards and important dignitaries from the local government Area.
It would be recalled that Hon. Bala Justice earlier announced the commencement of a six weeks free holiday coaching classes for indigent students across the community, especially in kabawa district, in an effort to enhance the knowledge of students in primary and secondary schools during the long vacation.
According to the coordinators, A.A Yakato and Abbas Yahaya respectively said the Idea of holding the holiday lesson was conceived by the team of teachers considering the long vacation period of six weeks.
While speaking to newsmen at the closing ceremony, the coordinator, Mallam Abbas Yahaya said the Beneficiaries of the free holiday coaching are drawn from primary and secondary schools, adding that 200 pupils are from primary while 100 students are from secondary schools but noted that the programme attracted over 1000 participants throughout the vacation period.
In his own remarks, the sponsorer of the programme, Hon. Bala Justice affirmed that education must be free at all levels in the nation, adding that it is key to a nation’s rapid economic growth which implies that everybody must be educated.
According to him, “The free education as envisioned by Gov. Ahmed Usman Ododo’s administration has been providing succour and relief to parents who cannot afford to pay WAEC and JAMB fees of their children and wards and also holiday coaching classes, This programme is a way of improving their learning skills. So, we consolidated on the governor’s educational contributions to touch the lives of students positively with a sound educational system and also widen their scope of knowledge at all levels.
“Ours is to ensure the provision of a conducive learning environment while not losing sight of making available free-cost teaching and learning materials to both the employed teachers and students.
“We are here today to mark the end of the vacation lesson and to equally present awards to the best performed pupils and students who excelled throughout the period of learning”, he said.
The Hakimi of Kabawa, Mallam Abdulkadir Yayaya, on behalf of Kabawa community presented a meritorious award to the Sponsorer of the vacation lesson programme, Hon. Bala Justice for his modest initiative
The best first, Second and third best students in both primary and secondary schools were presented with certificates and gifts inorder to encourage them in their future endeavours.
