Kogi West senatorial candidate on the platform of New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Hon. Abubakar Ibukun Muhammed Bukky, says he is still in the Senatorial race, dismissing claims that he has withdrawn  from the 2023 Kogi West senatorial contest.

Bukky made the declaration in an interview he granted journalists in Lokoja on Monday.

He encouraged his supporters not to entertain fear, adding he was working tirelessly to emerge as the senator representing Kogi West senatorial under the platform of NNPP come February this year.

Bukky, who is optimistic about wining the forthcoming elections, described as mischief, report that he has withdrawn from the race.

He maintained further that those who planted the report were jittery about his political popularity,  acceptance and dominance in kogi West political space, hence they cooked the fake report to create confusion due to lack of popularity.

“ No amount of  sponsored lies by some candidates  would  distract  us from our  quest to rescue the people of Kogi West

Contrary to fabrications against my  wide  accepted  ambition to answer the calls of our people, permit me to  restate for the pleasure of progressive Kogi West people  that the falsehood trending currently that I have  dropped my  ambition to run for  Kogi Senatorial District is false” he said

The withdrawal reports,Bukky said are mere handiwork of politicians and  massive gains since he joined the race.

Bukky who was on campaign tour,  thanked the people of Kogi West for their unalloyed support  and urged them to maintained the tempo
