ISPON Inducts 6 New members In Kogi

The Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria (ISPON) has inducted 6 members into the institute in Kogi state.
The induction took place at Ayonete Hotel, Along Zone 8, Lokoja, where new members were inducted into the institute, and presented with membership certificates, following the obligatory training, assessment, and screening carried out by ISPON.
Speaking to newsmen, the state Coordinator, Mr. Salihu Hussain said the induction of these new members into ISPON is a testament to its unwavering commitment to high safety practices and standards.
Hussain commended the new members for embracing high safety standards while encouraging professionalism. He noted that the newly inducted members will play a crucial role in advancing safety in their organisations and Nigeria, adding that their knowledge and skills will contribute to the development and implementation of effective safety measures, ensuring a safer and more sustainable operating environment.
“We believe we can create a safer and more productive work environment for all. It is good to operate in a safe environment, safety is our culture and it is the responsibility of everyone,” Hussain said.
ISPON’s National President, Engr. Timothy Ewowo noted that every member of the institute has the responsibility of promoting safety awareness in the workplace, at home, and across Nigeria.
“The ISPON certification therefore empowers these individuals to become advocates for safety, not only within Kogi state but also in their communities and Nigeria as a whole,” he stated.
The training was facilitated by ISPON, which is an annual conference designed to provide maiden lectures to enable employees to acquire the necessary expertise to meet the employees’ needs.
Among the lecturers who delivered papers at the conference are; Mr. Olayinka Fache, the chairman, Federal Character Comission, FCC, Pharm. Idris Bello, and others. Officials from all security agencies were in attendance, Civil defence corps, police officers, VIO, officers from ministries and parastatals in Kogi state.
