Kogi 2023: Kogi Labour Party women storms Ajaokuta residence of Hon. Haruna Ganaja, declare their support for Ododo

n what seem to be a sudden twist of fate, on Friday, a group of Labour Party supporters in Kogi State led by their women Association leader, Mrs Blessing Matis, stormed the Ajaokuta residence of Hon. Haruna Ganaja, an APC chieftain, to identify with him as members of the APC and to declare their support for the candidacy of Alhaji Usman Ododo, the Governorship candidate of the APC in the forthcoming Kogi State Governorship election.
The group named Active Women Of Substance, Kogi State Chapter; which is made up of the Labour Party women leaders from across the 21 Local Governments of Kogi State, in the course of their interaction dumped the Labour Party and have since defected to the APC, courtesy of how Hon. Haruna Ganaja spoke to them about the prospects and plans of the APC Governorship candidate, Alhaji Usman Ododo, if he is elected on November 11, to govern Kogi State.
“We fully support your move to the APC. We see it is for the good of Ajaokuta and Kogi State. We are convinced having listened to you now, and beyond that we ourselves have decided to defect from the Labour Party to the APC already and we promise to hit the ground running immediately as we will campaign vigorously across the 21 Local Governments, towards ensuring that Alhaji Usman Ododo, the candidate of the APC emerges victorious on November 11,” the group’s leader, Mrs Blessing Matis told Hon. Haruna Ganaja.
