Kogi APC Gov’ship Candidate Assures Kogi LG PDP Decampees Of Fairness, Equal Treatment

The Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC in kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, has received a group of decampees from the People’s Democratic Party,PDP from Kogi Local Government Area of the state ahead of November 11, 2023 governoship poll.
Engr. Bashir Gegu, Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources came with over 40 decampees to the residence of the Governorship Candidate of APC, saying, “On Tuesday, I received into the Kogi local government APC family, some members of the PDP who dumped the PDP for the APC.
“The group by includes the Chairman of PDP in kogi LG and members of his Exco and other members. Engr. Gegu said they left PDP, they believe in our promise of a better tomorrow ” he said.
Engr Gegu further said the opposition party was now completely non-existent in Kogi local government area of the state.
The Governorship candidate of APC, Ahmed Usman Ododo however recieved the decampees assuring members of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) defecting to the ruling party of equal treatment.
The APC gubernatorial candidate assured the decampees that they had equal status and rights like every member of the ruling party.
“In APC, there is no discrimination. Those that joined today are equal in status as those who joined when the party was formed. We are a one and united family,” he added.
