Kogi Assembly Education Committee On Oversight Function Pays Visit To SUBEB

Kogi State House of Assembly has reiterated its commitment towards performing constitutional responsibilities in ensuring that there is progress and development in the State.

In a statement issued by the Public Relations Officer, Igunnu Y Agnes stated that the Chairman, House Committee on Education, Hon Idris Aliyu Maikudi during an oversight function visit to Kogi State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) on Tuesday.
The Chairman who noted that the Assembly should not be seen as a witch – hunt rather than correcting the anomalies that may likely occur in the course of performing their duties
Hon Idris thereby commended the appointment of Mallam Engr. Abdulrazaq Muhammed Yusuf as the Board’s Chairman and said he is a technocrat with wide range of wealthy experiences that should be brought to bear in improving the Basic Educational Sector better than the way he met it.
He also noted that the Assembly should seen as partners, to drive the progress and growth of the state. ” We are Partners in progress that will always focused at strategizing in collaborating with critical stakeholders to see to the progress and development of the State.
Appreciating the humane disposition of the Executive Chairman of SUBEB to the improvement of the educational sector in kogi state, the Chairman House Committee on Education urged the Management and staff of the Board to cooperate with him and remain focused, saying that election has come and gone.
In his response, the Executive Chairman, SUBEB, Mallam Engr Abdulrazaq Muhammed Yusuf welcomed and appreciated the lawmakers, promised to remain committed in discharging his statutory duties objectively.
