Kogi Assembly Speaker Flag-Off Distribution Of Palliatives In Lokoja LGA

The Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Aliyu Umar Yusuf has flagged off the distribution of palliatives to the people of Lokoja Local Government Area.
In a statement issued by the chief press secretary to the speaker, Yabagi Mohammed said the speaker Performed the flag-off at the Local Government Secretariat on Saturday, thanked Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for his show of love and passion for the development of the state and impacting the common citizens.
He noted that since his assumption of office, the Governor has been demonstrating concern for Kogi people with his policies tailored towards ameliorating their plight.
The speaker used the occasion to describe the current political leaders of Lokoja origin as people with compassion, whose interest in touching lives positively is very obvious.
Rt Hon Umar stressed that the member of the National Assembly representing Lokoja/Kogi Kotonkarfe Federal Constituency, Hon Danladi Suleiman Aguye and the member representing Lokoja I State Constituency in the state Assembly, Hon Bin-Ebaiya Shehu Tijjani are working round the clock to bring dividends of democracy to their people.
On the executive side, the speaker said the legislators are lucky to have the State Commissioner for Water Resources, Engr Farouk Yahaya Danladi and the Transition Committee Chairman in the area, Comrade Abdullahi Adamu who are so committed to working on the same page for the development of the Local Government.
He called on the people of Lokoja at all levels to continue to give their support to the current administration, especially the current political leaders to ensure they sustain their commitment to attracting development to better the communities that make up the Local Government.
Elected and appointed office holders from the local government were present during the flag-off.
