Kogi Assembly Speaker Receives Kinsmen From Lokoja In Solidarity

The speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Aliyu Umar Yusuf on Thursday, received in audience some of his brothers from Lokoja, who came to solidarise with and congratulate him on his emergence as the head of the legislative arm in the state.
In a press statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly.,Yabagi Mohammed stated that the Speaker thanked his kinsmen from his communities for the visit and said his doors would remain open for consultation on how to move the state forward beyond party lines.
The speaker noted that the development of the state and Lokoja Local Government Area, required synergy and unified direction of purpose and enjoined them to use their experiences to advise him, just like many other stakeholders, in piloting the affairs of that arm of government.
In their remarks, they described him as an experienced politician, given his wide knowledge of the political terrain, stressing that they believed in his ability to ensure positive change to Lokoja Local Government and the state in general, using the tools of lawmaking.
They also urged him to continue with his humility, administrative ability, pragmatism, open door, candour and camaraderie in piloting the affairs of the arm of government.
