Kogi First ECWA Organises Service Of Songs For Pa Joseph Olanrewaju Owoeye

The final home journey of the late father of a reknown Journalist and online blogger, ‘KOGIREPORT Online’, Late Pa Joseph Olanrewaju Owoeye began on Thursday with a service of songs organised by his Church, First ECWA Church, Lokoja in Kogi State.

Preaching at the event attended by the family members and well-wishers of the late septuagenarian and a senior lecturer at the prestigious institution, Kogi State Polythecnic, Lokoja.

Several Bishop and pastor’s preaches at the well attended service and talked about the kind disposition and generosity of late Pa Owoeye and his positive role played throughout his lifetime in the church as an elder.

The leader of the team of pastors in ECWA said the secret of a good life of any human being is service to humanity, noting that the death of a righteous soul is precious to God Almighty.

He noted that late Joseph Olanrewaju Owoeye lived a life of service that clearly indicated that there is humility in service to humanity. He also said that the righteous lives for treasures that will last forever and not materials things of life, added that “those people who will die foolish deaths are materialistic while a righteous man lives with eternity in focus.”

The leading pastor stressed that Pa Owoeye lived a life of service as a lecturer and served God’s purpose in his own generation.

According to him, “The secret of a great life is service; the death of a righteous is precious in the sight of God. The death of a precious brings hope, the death of a righteous is the only life that looks like that of Christ because the death of a righteous is a great gain.

“I want to say this about late Pa Joseph Olanrewaju Owoeye lived a life of service, he lived a life that reminds us that humility can be found in service, and one is not surprised seeing the humility of his children. He lived a life of service as a Lecturer , he served God’s purpose in his own generation, he served faithfully,” the cleric submitted.

In his own remarks, one of his sons, the publisher of Kogireports online, while appreciating the First ECWA Church for organising the service of songs on behalf of his late father, noted that a life of service can be achieved by acts and actions of the people.

He however thanked the management of First ECWA Church for the support given to Pa Owoeye’s family and the people of Isanlu-Ilafi.
