Kogi Governorship 2023 : Between Ododo, Melaye, Abejide, Who win the Race?
As the governorship primaries Elections comes to an end, waiting for the main general elections, the battle for the Kogi State Government House known as Lugard House is widely opened, getting tougher.
All the major candidates are moving from one crannies to the other galvanising support from stakeholders from within, Abuja,Kano, Kaduna, Oyo, Port-Harcourt and Lagos.
They are struggling to outsmart themselves, meeting leaders, irrespective of party affiliations to tell them why they should support their candidature.
Interestingly, the imcumbent Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello is moving round to introduce his anointed candidate to stakeholders while the PDP Governorship Candidate is also visiting the people that matters in kogi state.
The ADC candidate, Hon. Leke Abejide is banking on the support of his people of kogi west and some powerful men in the district to win election.
The APC candidate, Usman Ahmed Ododo has gone to visit some of the PDP and APC leaders while the PDP candidate, Dino Melaye too has done much to ensure his leaders maintain their position as faithful supporters of PDP.
Unfortunately, Kogi East has no strong candidate in the race but has become the political bride as the three major parties are looking to pick their deputies from the zone.
The choice of the deputy Governor will go a long way to determine the winner of the race. A strong deputy will curry favour for its governorship flag bearer.
