Kogi Guber 2023: APC rally support for Ododo/Joel in Lokoja LGA
* Hundreds of PDP supporters Decamp To APC

Lokoja local government area came alive, when the All Progressives Congress, APC staged its rally at Obasanjo Square, Lokoja, Kogi state.
It was a carnival-like event, as members of the party from the ten wards stormed the venue to be part of the rally.It was attended by a huge crowd of party supporters and members.
The stakeholders on Wednesday reiterated their commitment to the victory of Ahmed Usman Ododo and his running mate, Joel Oyibo, come November 11, 2023 Governorship election.
The Chairman of Lokoja-Kogi (koto) Stakeholders Forum, Alhaji Suleiman Baba Ali, said that the Ododo/Joel ticket was powered by tested and trusted hands.
Baba Ali urged members of the party not to rest until the last person is mobilised for Ododo/Joel victory in lokoja/Kogi local govt areas.
“This is a call to be part of history, a call to continue to mobilize for the success of the ruling party,
“I thank you all for your unrelenting passion, unbridled commitment, unparalleled dedication and uncommon sacrifice for the message of Hope that you believe in,
“The Ododo/Joel ticket is powered by tested and trusted hands and it offers hope for us in lokoja, It ensures our today and assures us of our tomorrow.
He further said that the leadership would start door to door campign in all the units, wards across all the local government areas in the federal constituency.
“I know you are all ready to deliver victory for APC Governorship candidate.
“I want to admonish you to work assiduously in canvassing support for Ahmed Usman Ododo, who has the capacity in delivering good governance.
“Ahmed Ododo lis a good product and he is an answer to our prayers. He did very well when he was Auditor-General in the state”..
In his own speech, the chairman of Lokoja local government council, Hon. Mohammed DanAsabe Mohammed said that Ododo had the capacity and competence to be the next Governor of kogi state.
He urged all members of the party in lokoja local government area to embark on grassroots campaign for Ahmed Usman Ododo and his running mate, Joel Oyibo.
According to him, ” Ododo has the capacity to be the next Governor of kogi state. Gov. Yahaya Bello has laid good foundation of which Ahmed Ododo will build on”.
“I want to urge you to go back to the grassroots with this message of hope that Lokoja local government area will deliver for Ododo. Take the campaign of Ododo everywhere, nooks and crannies, units and wards,
In his response,the Chairman of APC in Lokoja local government area, Hon. Maikudi Bature also said Lokoja remains the party’s stronghold.
He further said the party remains formidable ahead of November, 11 2023 Governorship election, saying the rally has again demonstrated that the APC is the party to beat.
The party Chairman further disclosed that hundreds of Members of People’s Democratic party, PDP has defected to the ruling party, APC during the rally attended by thousands of party supporters, explained that their defection was due to the good governance of the APC administration in the state.
The Leader of the Decampees, Hon. Yusuf Alabi aka ‘Leader’ said , We are really grateful for your kind reception to us with the caliber of dignitaries who recieved us into the ruling party”.
He promised that his group would work assiduously to ensure the victory of the APC Governorship candidate, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo in the forthcoming governorship election.
Among those APC stakeholders present at the epoch making occasion were the Co-Chairman of the campaign organization, Hon. Salihu Akawu Saidu, Hon. Jimoh Fancy, DG campaign of Lokoja, Alhaji Suleman Babadoko, Hajiya Marka aka Mama Ododo and many other dignitaries.
