Faleke Refusal To Contest, Haj. Hadiza Calls For Extension Of Sales Of Nomination Form

A female governorship aspirant in kogi state and chief Executive Officer of Hadiza motors based in Lagos, Hajiya Hadiza Ibrahim has expressed dissatisfaction over the decline of Hon James Abiodun Faleke
from contesting.

Hon. James Faleke who was the Secretary of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council(APCPCC) and Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Finance, he made pronouncements on Sunday night, declared that his decision not to participate in the Governorship race of Kogi State is borne out of his desire to subject his personal interest to national interest.

The Bussiness woman who had contested severally in the state, however said the respect for Chief Faleke, her leader and teacher, was the main reason why she did not obtain expression of interest form of APC Governorship Primaries election coming up in April.

According to her, ” Surprisingly, i woke up this morning to hear the unpleasant news of Faleke’s refusal to yield to the clarion call from the entire people of kogi state,

Hajiya Hadiza further noted that funds were put together to purchase nomination form for him and we expect him to consult with us before declining the offer, she said angrily.

She therefore called on the National Working Committee of the ruling party, All Progressives Congress to as a matter of urgency extend the sales of nomination forms in order to allow ample opportunity for those who withdrew or step aside for the APCPCC
secretary, Hon. Faleke to contest for Governor in kogi state.

” Considering the refusal of James Faleke from contesting, we urge the NWC to extend the sales of form for gubernatorial race in Kogi state”.

“A lot of consultation is required for Governorship race. So, we reckon that one week will be enough for some of us to pick nomination forms and submit. So, we call for extension and I am sure that the NWC would consider our request, she said.
