KOGI KIUMCA DG Commends Gov. Ododo For Remarkable Achievements
- Taufiq Appeals For Continued Support Of NUJ As Partners In Achieving Set Goals.

A frontline politician in Kogi west and the present Director-General of Utility Infrastructure management and compliance agency, KIUMCA, in Kogi state, Asiwaju, Dr. Alhaji Taufiq Isa aka ‘Jagaban’ has commended the state governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo , on Wednesday, for his remarkable achievements since assuming office as the state governor.
The new Director General promised to prioritise effective management ability to enhance innovation and collaboration. He said the management under his leadership will build a purpose driven organisation.
Alhaji Taufiq Isa who received the chairman of Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Comrade Shiedu Ademu with his Executive members in his office in Lokoja noted that the Governor had demonstrated capacity in delivering good governance to the people through his people’s agenda.
Alhaji Taufiq said the Agency has been repositioned to perform it’s duty effectively to check non compliance with State laws and regulations in terms of doing the right thing by companies operating in the State.
According to him, Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo has given KUIMCA all that’s needed to perform optimally to generate more revenue to the State and encourage investors to invest in the State.
The DG said himself, his Board members and management of the Agency will not allow individuals or organisations to short-change the State as the present administration is building a solid upon the good foundation laid by the immediate past government.
He appealed for continued support of the NUJ members in the State as partners in progress towards achieving set goals.
The DG said, “We appreciate the Governor for the commendable job being done in the state. It’s applaudable.”
According to him, KIUMCA will continue to support the administration of Gov. Ahmed Usman Ododo to succeed, he however acknowledged that the Governor has been doing his best to uplift the state to an enviable heights.
He added that he had no doubt demonstrating his love for the media in Kogi state and assured the readiness to sustain the support and partnership that exist between his office and Journalists in the state.
“As an Agency, we deeply commend the Governor for the priority attention his administration has given to us, and we thank him for this unprecedented feat and assure him of our continuous support and loyalty”, Taufiq added.
The DG offer prayers for the progress of the state, economic advancement, peace, tranquility, political stability, security, and divine wisdom for the Governor in continuing to govern the state.
“Without sounding immodest and backed by empirical evidence, Governor Ododo stands tall today amongst his colleagues as a peerless brand of humility, integrity, prudence, love for the people, honesty of purpose, candour, and a patriotic fervour still uncommon in Nigerian effervescent political horizon”.
Earlier in his remarks, the State Chairman of the NUJ, Alhaji Seidu Ademu Haruna said the Council is poised to collaborate with KUIMCA as an Agency saddled with enormous task of managing the state infrastructure for overall progress and development of Kogi State.
The NUJ Chairman commended Governor Ododo for appointing an experienced Administrator and politician who has served as council chairman for two tenure, Senior Special Assistant on Security and Special Adviser on Project monitoring to handle the affairs of the Agency .
Board Members of KUIMCA, Hon Olayinka Emmanuel, Hon Suleiman Onimisi Abdullahi and Hon Agada Paul as well as Directors of the Agency all restated their commitment to support the leadership of the DG to achieve the mandate of KUIMCA.
