Kogi Market Women Will Continue To Support Gov. Ododo, President Tinubu – Special Adviser, Women Affairs, Hajia Momo Gimba

The First Lady of Kogi state, Hajia Sefinat Ahmed Ododo has urged Market Women to complement Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda for good governance to spread across the board.

The First lady who was ably represented gave the admonition while speaking at the women One Voice summit in Government House, Lokoja on Thursday, organised by the special Adviser on women Affairs, Hajia Momo Gimba.
She appealed to those planning a nationwide protest to reconsider their actions, citing the potential harm it could cause to vulnerable Nigerians.
Hajia Ododo also called on the market women to continue to engage themselves creatively and seize the numerous opportunities available in the state, emphasizing the government’s efforts to revitalize the economy.
In her own response, the Special Adviser on Women Affairs to the Executive Governor of Kogi state, Hajia Momo Gimba has said Gov. Ahmed Usman Ododo has created equal opportunities, rights, and representation for women in all spheres of life in the state.

Women One Voice Summit which includes Presentation Of Awards Ceremony, the special Adviser, Hajia Momo Gimba noted that Kogi state Governor recognizes the inherent value and potential of women and promised to enhance women’s social, economic, and political status in the state.
She further stressed that the programmes and policies of Governor Ododo involves providing women with access to education, healthcare, employment opportunities, and a seat in decision-making processes, enabling them to fulfill their aspirations and contribute meaningfully to the society.
“When women are empowered, they become agents of change, driving economic growth, nurturing healthier communities, and fostering innovation and creativity”,she said.
Hajia Momo said women empowerment plays a pivotal role in uplifting women and breaking the cycle of poverty, according to her, “By providing women with equal access to resources, training, and entrepreneurial opportunities, we can unleash their potential as business leaders, job creators, and contributors to economic development”.
She noted that Gov. Ododo administration will ensure girlchild and women in Kogi state gets an access to quality education.
In her own remarks, the Honourable Commissioner Of Women Affairs, Mrs Fatima Momoh reiterated the state government’s commitment to women’s empowerment and the protecting of women and girl in the state.
She thanked all market women who have at different levels supported the present administration during elections and till today, and called for more support for the amiable and dynamic Governor of kogi state, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo.
The Hon.commissioner urged all market women to continue to support each other beyond ethnic and religious beliefs, promote gender solidarity and the present administration of Gov. Ododo.
