Kogi NUJ election:Team success seeks Federated Chapel support to succeed

Ahead of the 13th December Nigeria Union of Journalists, (NUJ) election in Kogi State, Team Success has appealed to Federated Chapel of the union to give them maximum support to succeed in the State.

They made the appeal on Friday during a courtesy call to members of Federated Chapel in Lokoja.
Led by the Director General, Team Success campaign, Comrade
Ebenezer Adurodija, he noted that all the candidates aspiring for different positions have the capacity to deliver their mandate to members of the union.
Adurodija, particularly commended the Chairman of Federated Chapel Abu Michael for his professional conduct, resilience, commitment, and support in bringing the desired change in the Journalism profession.
According to him, it is time for all working journalists to work together to redeem the image of the fourth estate of the real.
On his part, the Secretary of NUJ Comrade Ademu Seidu who is a Chairmanship Candidate for the 2023 council election lauded the achievement of Federated Chapel under the leadership of Mike Abu.
Seidu, who reiterated that one of his major priority if elected as Kogi NUJ Chairman is to address issues of members welfare enphasized that, under his leadership, there will be capacity building for all working journalists in Kogi State.
The NUJ Chairman hopeful promised to liase with critical stakeholders to boost the economic fortunes of the union and ensure that journalists are given maximum protection to practice their profession in Kogi State.
Responding, the Chairman of Federated Chapel Comrade Abu Michael described the DG team success as a reservoir of knowledge in the Journalism profession, adding that, there is need for continuous collaboration among practitioners in Kogi State.
While reassuring the team of Federated Chapel support to move Kogi State NUJ forward, Abu stressed the need for the incoming administration to create a template of fairness and equity among members.
“Looking at the set of people contesting for positions in Team Success, we are very optimistic that the incoming will consolidate on the achievement of the president one” he added.
Those vying for positions in this year NUJ election are Ademu Seidu Haruna, (Chairman), Ibrahim Obansa, (Vice Chairman), Ayindero-Oyenibi Olusegun, (Secretary) Ali Josephine Unekwu, (Auditor), Abdulsalam Abubakar Mohammed, (Financial Secretary) Sunny Adebuja, (Treasurer) and Atuluku Samuel, (Assistant Secretary).
