Kogi NUJ Embarks On Projects Tour Executed By Gov. Bello To Commemorate His 7th Year Anniversary In Office.

The Nigeria Union of Journalists, Kogi State Council ably led by its Chairman, Comrade Adeiza Momohjimoh along with his members have embarked on a tour of major projects being executed by the Executive Governor of Kogi state, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello.

The crew of Journalists were on visit to most of the completed projects today in the Western, Central and Eastern flanks of kogi state to see for themselves the numbers of achievements of the governor Bello in honour of his 7th year Anniversary in office.

The Chairman of the Union, Comrade Momohjimoh says the tour of Gov. Yahaya Bello’s legacy projects is in line with the media constitutional role of holding Government and its officials accountable to the people.

Momohjimoh says the initiative which is in collaboration between the state NUJ and its members through a decision taken at the state Congress of NUJ serves as a tool in showcasing and assessing the achievements, policies and programmes of Governments and help in deepening democracy .

According to him, “Journalists has take time to interact with Governor’s aides today, the commissioners of Information and Education, Kingsley Fanwo and Wemi Jones and we are satisfy with them,he said.

The tour of projects showcased lot of exciting true pictures of landmark achievements of Gov. Bello.Critical questions And report based on what we find on the ground for the people of the state at large to form their opinions and make informed decisions are met.

” The visit to the major projects executed by the governor today are very impressive, we visited Muhammadu Buhari civic centre, GYB model school, Ganaja Flyover, College of University Science and Technology and Reference Hospital, Okene and we collectively agreed that the governor has done very well”, he said.
