Kogi Speaker Describes Kakanda Community As Committed And Hardworking People

The speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Aliyu Umar Yusuf, on Thursday, attended the Nko – Sallah celebration in Budon, the traditional headquarters of Kakanda Kingdom in Lokoja Local Government Area.
In a press statement issued by the Head of Press and Publicity,
Yabagi Mohammed, stated that the speaker extolled the virtues of Kakanda people, describing them as committed and hard working, while promising to represent them with honour and pride as a legislator.
Traditional rulers across the kingdom applauded the speaker for the pride with which he has represented them so far, and prayed for his success as the leader of the 8th Kogi State House of Assembly.
Nko is usually celebrated a day after Eid with traditional rulers, community leaders and other stakeholders who gather to celebrate the occasion which is always followed with traditional songs, dances and other forms of traditional entertainment.
The speaker is the Garkuwa of Kakanda Kingdom and the Sardauna of his home country of Eddo.
