Kogi Suspends PDP Woman Leader, Mrs Esther Soje

The Kogi State People’s Democratic Party Women leader, Mrs. Esther Soje, has been suspended.

In a suspension letter signed by Yusuf Suleiman, Ward Chairman of Otaru/Opowu Ward Magongo, Ogori Magongo LGA, copied the State Chairman of the PDP, the Woman Leader was suspended in line with section 58(1), 59(2) and 4 of the party’s constitution as amended.

The PDP Ward Executives of Otoru Opowu Ward, Ogori-Magongo, LGA, said Mrs Soje has been indefinitely for violating section 58(1) b,c,h,i and j of the party’s constitution.

According to the letter of suspension, Mrs Soje’s suspension takes effect from 12th October, 2024, having failed all peaceful means to resolve the crisis within the Local Government Party.

The Executives said the suspension became essential so as not to allow Mrs. Soje destroy the Party and the fragile peace that is being enjoyed in Ogori Magongo LGA.

The suspension letter was also copied, Sen. Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan, Hon. Bode Ogunmola, Hon. Yahaya Karaku as well as the Zonal PDP Chairman.

Similarly, the State Auditor, Treasurer, Local Government Party Chairman and the Ward Chairmen of the Party.

The letter of suspension was signed by Yusuf Suleiman, Chairman, Yunusa Balogun, Vice Chairman, Isaq Adamu, Secretary.

Others who signed include; Monday Salami, Asst. Sex;, Segun Ibotiye, Youth Leader, Adike Catherine, Woman Leader, Simon Jenifred, Legal Adviser; Oseka Ajibade- Treasurer, Roseline Babatunde- Financial Secretary; Abdullahi Rakiyat – Auditor;, Ahmed Otaru- Org. Sec; Monday Jimoh- PRO.

The four Ex Officio Helen Joseph, Rebecca Peter, Olujoye Ariyo Kemi, Francis Ibrahim and Taiye Daniel also signed the suspension letter.
