The Executive Governor of Kogi state, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has expressed confidence that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will complete his two terms in office considering the level of successes recorded in his bold economic, social and political policies.
Gov. Ododo said that the economic reform policies of the President were already delivering positive economic results.
“The good news is that Kogi state shall Support President Tinubu for second term and lead the campaign to ensure victory for President Tinubu come 2027”.
“To be honest with you, Asiwaju will win. We are appealing to Nigerians to support us”, he stressed.
Gov. Ododo applauded president Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu while distributing starter packs to 250 youths who have completed a three months intensive automobile technology, welding, plumbing, solar power installation, and compressed natural gas(CNG) conversion at Muhahammadu Buhari Civic centre, Lokoja.
Gov. Ododo noted that the president should be assured of the massive support from Kogi state, according to him, “We are not going to disturb ourselves with convention. This time, We shall ensure President Tinubu have an easy ride in his second term”, he said.
The governor urged Nigerians to exercise more patience with the administration, said the stability in the exchange rate is also another indication that the President’s reforms are yielding positive results.
“It might be very difficult today, very hard and people are complaining but the reform is trickling down, so the reform is working but we should be patient.
Gov. Ahmed Usman Ododo emphasized the program’s achievements to combat unemployment and forster skill development among the younger ones, saying KOYESA has provided participants with essential support to facilitate their transition into workforce.
Gov. Ododo announced plans to train youth in the second batch this year, reinforcing the government’s commitment to job creation.
The newly distributed welding machines, he highlighted, will support the young individuals established their enterprises, thereby helped create a skilled workforce capable of meeting the evolving needs of the state’s labour market.
The Governor urged recipients to utilize the resources responsibly to elevate their livelihoods, stressing that these tools are meant to benefit them and their communities rather than being sold.
The KOYESA distributiion has proved to be transformative effort in empowering Kogi state’s youth through skill Acquisition and enterpreneurship, thereby contributing to the state’s economic growth and social development.
He officially declared the distribution of the starter packs open, expressing optimism for the program’s continued success and impact on the lives of Kogi youth.
In an address, the State Commissioner For Education, Mr. Wemi Jones described the event as a manifestation of the shared mission to enhance and improve the livelihoods of the youth in Kogi state.
While urging the beneficiaries to take pride in what they have achieved, he emphasized the need for even more accomplishments.
Earlier, the Rector, Nigeria-Korea Friendship Institute NKFI, Mr. Williams Charles Oluwatoyin said the 250 participants and graduands were been sponsored by kogi state government, through
KOYESA. which is established by the governor to trained younger ones in skill Acquisition and empowerment.
Also, the programme was put together by the ministry of Special Duties And Intergovernmental Affairs in collaboration with the ministry of Youth and Sport Development, alongside with the kogi Youth Empowerment and skill Acquisition (KOYESA), which was initiated by the kogi state Government to combat unemployment and forster skill development among youth.
