KONGONET Holds 5th Annual AGM Meeting, Elects Comrade Hamza Aliyu As Chairperson , Other Executive Members

Members of KONGONET, Kogi state Chapter on Thursday, have elected its new Executive members to run the affairs of the Association for the next three years.
The Executive members were elected during the 5th Annual AGM meeting 2025 which was held at the NUJ press centre, Lokoja,
Comrade Hamza Aliyu and Comrade Joshua Reuben were elected as new Chairperson and Secretary General respectively.
The event included the election and swearing-in of the newly elected Executive Committee (Exco) members for 2025.
The outgoing Chairperson of KONGONET, Ambassador Idris Ozovehe Muraina congratulated the newly elected officers and urged them to work collaboratively, emphasizing the importance of upholding the trust placed in them.
He encouraged them to remain focused on achieving the objectives of the association and contributing to the Association’s continued growth.
He expressed gratitude to the members for their unwavering support of the association throughout his journey and achievements.
Ambassador Muraina congratulated the newly elected Exco members and encouraged them to build on the foundation laid, particularly in prioritizing capacity development.
The newly elected Chairperson, Comrade Hamza Aliyu thanked all members of the networks for their unwavering support and understanding.
He pledged to prioritisd the welfare of the association’s members.
He promised that the new executives would carry members along to ensure the association’s success, urged members to unite for the progress of KONGONET.
The highlight of the event was the administration of the oath of allegiance to the newly elected Exco members by the legal officer, This was followed by a group photograph to commemorate the occasion.
