Late Prince Audu’s Daughter, Barr. Memuna Eke Abubakar Audu Lauds Appointment Of Brother, Prince Shuiabu

…hails President Tinubu, Gov. Bello For Remembering Family.

Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and the daughter of a two term Governor of Kogi State,
Barrister Memuna Eke Abubakar Audu, has hailed the appointment of his younger brother, Prince Shuiabu Abubakar Audu as Ministerial nominee selected by President Bola Tinubu, describing the choice of Prince Shuiabu as recognition given to their late father.

In a telephone conversation with Nigerian Trend Online Newspaper on Monday, Barr. Memuna Eke, said  she also thanked Gov. Yahaya Bello for recognizing and recommending one of my family member as ministerial nominee from Kogi State.

She also congratulated the Executive Governor of Kogi State, for remembering Prince Abubakar Audu’s Family, praying God to grant him more fruitful years to impact positively on the state.

Barr. Memuna Eke said she was  certain that  Prince Shuiabu will perform creditably well  in his various capacities and attract great development to kogi state and Nigeria at large.

According to her, “Prince Shuiabu‘s appointment as a Minister in the federal republic of Nigeria did not come as a surprise to me because I knew that our late father has contributed immensely to the growth and development of Kogi State and Nigeria, but was overwhelmed when I heard the efforts of president Tinubu and Gov. Bello’s recommendation nominating one of  us as minister”, she said.

“All members of Prince Abubakar Audu’s Family sincerely thank President Tinubu for finding our brother, Prince Shuiabu worthy of the  ministerial appointment.”

She also hailed  the president for appointing other eminent qualified Nigerians into his cabinet, saying she was confident  the team put in place by President  Tinubu  will bring about  significant leap in the economy.

” With the team already put in place by Mr President, I am very optimistic that Nigerians will begin to see significant improvement in the economy of the country”.

“There is renewed hope in the country that Nigerians will breath with the calibre of persons in the ministerial list so far “

It would be recalled that late Prince Abubakar Audu was a Nigerian career banker and politician who was the first civilian governor of Kogi State. He ruled Kogi State twice (first in the Third Republic and second, in the Fourth Republic). His first tenure was from January 1992 until November 1993 and the second from 29 May 1999 to 29 May 2003. He died shortly after the announcement of the election results on 22 November 2015, while seeking to be re-elected as governor on the platform of ruling party, All Progressives Congress (APC).
