The National Executive Council of National Association of Kogi state law students of Nigeria (NAKOLSON), led by the National President, Comr. Ismail Salifu, paid a courtesy visit to the Nigerian Union of Journalists,Kogi state Council.
The Law students were received by the state chairman of NUJ ,Kogi state Council, Comrade Adeiza Momohjimoh at his office in Lokoja on Thursday.
The National president noted that the visit was timely and historic saying that they were in his office to inform him on a proposal for the public lecture and Awareness programme put in place by the Association.
He further said the courtesy visit will create the much needed synergy between the leadership of the student body with the Nigeria Union of Journalists in the state.
According to him, “we are here to inform the leadership of NUJ of our proposed activities of the association noting that the theme of the event is ,” Strengthening Democracy In Nigeria;Kogi state Election In View”.
In his response, the Chairman pledged the readiness of the Union towards assisting the association in actualization of the project, promised to assist the Association by providing publicity and hall for the use for the event.
The Chairman noted that he was pleased to receive the delegation and restated the union’s availability when required.
