- Donates 3 Security Vehicles To Operation Lungu-Lungu.

The Council Chairman of Lokoja Local government area, Hon. Muhammed DanAsabe Muhammad has distributed another set of 50 motorcycles, 100 sewing machines, 50 Grinding Engines and other empowerment kits to the people of his local government.
The Chairman had, about a year ago, distributed 100 motorcycles, sewing machines and generators to his constituents.
Apart from giving out the items,he also doled out cash gift of 10-20 thousand Naira to each person to help them in their businesses.
According to him, ” the essence of the programme is to fulfil one of the electioneering promises and make the people economically buoyant and self-reliant”.
In his speech, Hon. DanAsabe said such motivations would reduce the rate of unemployment and over-dependence among youths, said the motivations would encourage productivity in the communities.
Hon. DanAsabe also purchased 3 security vehicles to ease the movement of the security outfit called ‘operation Lungu Lungu’ and provided solar street lights to every units and wards in Lokoja lga.
Speaking while declaring open the distribution of items to the beneficiaries in Lokoja ,the representative of the Governor at the occasion , the Chief of staff, Pharmacist Abdulkareem Jamiu Asuku said the empowerment programme was in line with, and in continuation of what the council Chairman did before.
He commended the council chairman for the laudable initiative that complements the state government’s efforts at alleviating poverty and enhancing trading and commerce.
He said the gesture was part of efforts to fulfil his campaign promises of providing an improved living condition to the people of Lokoja .
While commending him for his quality representation, he enjoined the beneficiaries to continue to give him maximum support especially in the coming state Assembly election.
The APC Chairman of Lokoja Local government area, Hon. Maikudi Bature spoke at the occasion, praised the council Chairman for fulfilling his electioneering promises,calling on the people to massively vote Hon. Shehu Ebaiya and Yussuf Umar at the coming National Assembly elections.
The beneficiaries of the items thanked the Chairman for remembering them, particularly at this period of difficulties which has put many people into hardship.
Dignitaries at the occasion included the state Chairman of APC, Hon. Abdullahi Dollar, the Reps-Elect, Lokoja-Koto constituency, Hon. Danladi Aguye, and a host of others.
