Lokoja Council Holds Maiden Sitting, Appoints House Leadership

The newly sworn-in Lokoja Local Government Council Members have had their maiden sitting shortly after their oath of office and Inauguration at the Lokoja Local Government Secretariat.
In a statement issued by the special Adviser to the chairman, Illiyasu Zakari after the legislative session which took place at the Chamber of the Lokoja Local Government Council, the members ratified the following appointments:
- Council Leader – Hon. Muhammed Hauwa Teni
- Deputy Leader – Hon. Ali Adamu Danladi
- Majority Leader – Hon. Muhammed Isah Katun
- Deputy Majority Leader – Hon. Musa Ramatu
- Chief Whip – Hon. Olorunpomi Samuel Folorusho
- Deputy Chief Whip – Hon. Umar Musa
The Council Leader urged members to show commitment and dedication in the discharge of their duties. She almighty God to guide them in the assignments.
Addressing the newsmen after the sitting, the Majority Leader, Hon. Muhammed Isah Katun assured the people of Lokoja Local Government that they will discharge their duties diligently and efficiently. He thanked the leadership of the party and its members for the overwhelming support throughout the campaign and election period.
