Lokoja LGA Chairman signs 2023 Budget Into Law, tagged, “Budget of Transformation “

The Chairman of Lokoja local government Area, Hon. Muhammed DanAsabe Muhammad on Tuesday in Lokoja signed the 2023 Budget of N2.9 Billion Appropriation Bill into law.
Speaking at the signing of the annual budget of this Administration, the Chairman said the budget N2.9 Billion, would enable the administration to execute all the planned projects.
The Council Chairman further said his decision to sign the 2023 Appropriation Bill into law as passed by the Legislative was to enable its implementation commence without delay,
The Chairman thanked the Council Leader for the support and cooperation since inception to date, and also appreciate all elected councillors.
He Reiterated that the 2023 Budget was developed to promote fiscal sustainability and economic stability , the Chairman stressed further that it was also designed to promote social inclusion and strengthen the resilience of the economy.
”I count on the cooperation of the Lawmakers for a speedy consideration and approval .”
Those who witnessed the signing of the budget include the Council Leader, Blessing Ogu and other councillors.
The Chairman however thanked the Council Leader, councillors for the expeditious consideration and passage of the Appropriation Bill.
He also recognised the roles played by the management staff, as well as staff who worked tirelessly and sacrificed so much towards producing the 2023 Budget.
”I also appreciate all supporters for the mutual understanding, collaboration and engagements between the council officials of the Executive and the entire people of Lokoja local government area.
”These have made the quick consideration and passage of our Fiscal bills possible over the last four years.”
”He Acknowledged that ‘‘these are challenging times nationwide,’’ the Chairman concluded his speech at the ceremony by expressing deep appreciation to Almighty God, while commending the continuing resilience, understanding and sacrifice of our people in the face of current economic challenges.
