Lokoja Stakeholders Embark On Sensitization campaign For Collection Of PVC, Set-Up Central And Wards Committee

The Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress, APC, In Lokoja local government Area, has concluded plans to mobilise voters
for registration of voters and collection of Permanent Voter Cards, PVC.
In a stakeholders meeting held at the APC party secretariat in Lokoja on Wednesday, witnessed a mammoth gathering of all APC party chairmen, Councillors, political appointees and major stakeholders for the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration, CVR.
The commissioner of Water Resources, Engr. MD Farouk commended the leadership of APC in the local government, explained that the sensation and mobilisation exercise has become important to ensure that voters who have attained the mandatory age of 18 years as well of those who have not participated in the ongoing exercise realise the need to do so in order to carry out their civic responsibility in the upcoming 2027 general elections.
He therefore announced the list of the central working committee as Chief Linus Adebayo as Chairman, Mayaki Nagogo, secretary while Isa Alhassn as member, he further announced the list of ward committees headed by councillors in all the 10 wards in Lokoja local government Area to drive the mobilisation and registration campaign.
The commissioner also called on those whose PVC’s are damaged or faded out to take advantage of the.exercise, calling party chairmen, councillors and committee members to go out to the field to sensitize and mobilise the people to register
Earlier, the party chairman, Alhaji Maikudi Bature charged members of the ruling party to join their hands together to be part of the registration exercise, he advised that nobody should embark on any campaign now but should concentrate on mobilisation for registration of collection of PVC.
In his remarks, the chairman, Lokoja local government Area, Comrade Abdullahi Adamu commended all stakeholders and party members, charged the committee members to mobilize and sensitize voters to register, urging them to return home for effective mobilization.
