Lokoja Traditional Title Holders’ Council, Indigenous Peoples’ Union Schedules 14th September, 2024 For Celebration of Lokoja Day Anniversary

Lokoja traditional Title Holders’ Council in conjunction with Lokoja Indigenous Peoples’ Union has officially announced the yearly celebration of the 2024 Lokoja Day Anniversary to take place on Saturday, 14th September, 2024 at Maigari’s palace.
The Nigerian Trend online newspaper reports that the celebration will featured a series of events, the present of prominent Lokoja sons and daughters, including traditional display by different cultural groups in lokoja local government area.
The chairman of the occasion will be the foremost businessman and a Lokoja Indigene of repute, Alhaji AbdulRazak Isa Kutepa, Wakilin Raya Kasa, Chairman, Waltersmith Petroleum Ltd, while the special Guest of Honour is His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo.
The Guest Speaker is A. D Ali, Deputy of History, Fed. University, Lokoja and the Royal Father Of the Day, Alhaji Ibrahim Muhahammadu Kabir Maikarfi 1V.
The statement also stated that the Mayaki of Lokoja, Alhaji Jiya Lawal is the chairman of the Organising Committee.
As part of the anniversary, the Maigari of Lokoja, HRH, Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Kabir, Maigari of Lokoja, will also honoured some personalities with chieftaincy titles.
